I hope you enjoyed reading and seeing all these pictures throughout this 31 Day Photo Challenge. I certainly had fun reminiscing with you all. : )

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 30

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 30: Post a photo of someone that you miss.

There is never a day that goes by that I don't miss someone. My friends live all over the place! I have been lucky enough to visit many of them and have even had some of them come here to LA too.

Here are some pictures of the few that I miss today:

But most of all, I miss my parents.

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 28

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 28: Post a photo of something you're afraid of.

Here are a few things that terrify me...

Snakes! Ugh... the fact that they can swallow whole dogs totally creeps me out. I may be alienating some of my blogger friends that own snakes as pets but seriously, why? For those of you that do, what do you like about these slimy creatures? I'm just thankful that after all those summers spent in the Arizona desert, I only saw one or two snakes out in the wild.

Scary clowns! Need I say more? I think that this picture explains it all! The movie, "IT" ruined clowns for me forever. My future children will NEVER EVER have a clown at their birthday parties!

Just the mere thought of possibly getting on a roller coaster freaks me out. The combination of having absolutely no control and the idea of being turned completely upside down is not my cup of tea at all. I have friends that LOVE roller coasters and I'm always the one to sit politely and wait with their bags while they enjoy these crazy rides. I do enjoy other kinds of rides-just NOT roller coasters.

Along with losing all my teeth, I frequently dream of all my hair falling out. I think this is why I only wash my hair three or so times a week. It scares me to death the idea of waking up one morning and for no reason at all, having all my hair be gone. YIKES!
What are you most afraid of?

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 27

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 27: Post a picture of yourself and a family member.

Simple enough! Here is a picture of my nephew Lucas and I this past Christmas. While he isn't exactly smiling, his face is still adorable! Aren't his blue eyes amazing?! They are just like me Dad's. : )

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 26

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 26: Post a picture of something that means a lot to you.

Like most of these photo challenges, I can't just pick one thing so here are a few things that mean a lot to me.

My passport. I think that this one is pretty self-explanatory. I've had an amazing life thus far full of so many travels. I was blessed to have had parents that wanted to raise me overseas. I hope to instill the love of travel in my own children someday.

My pictures are very important to me. This is a picture of one large collage that's on my bedroom wall right now. I don't have a lot of fancy paintings, posters or other pictures framed on my walls, instead, I have pictures of my family and friends all over. They make me happy. It's definitely the first thing people notice when they walk into my room.

Music if of course my biggest passion so this is a no-brainer that my stereo and ipod would be two very important things to me. Sitting next to them is a lovely picture of my parents and sister on her wedding day. I love this picture very much.

If you could pick just three things that mean the most to you, what would they be? It's harder then you think....

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 25

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 25: Post a picture of your day.

Tonight, I met up with a college friend, Kathleen, who lives in LA but we somehow never ever hang out. I hope tonight is the start to much more time spent together! Ok Kathleen? Let's fit each other into our busy schedules!

Does this happen a lot to you? You have all these friends living minutes from you but sadly, you are never are able to hang out. Blame it on opposite conflicting schedules, different groups of friends, different hobbies or just plain laziness. I think it's sad and really want to fix that this year. I need to spend more time with these close friends that I have here in LA. There's really nothing serious keeping us from spending time together so it needs to be corrected asap! So there! : )

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 24

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 24: Post a picture of something you wish you could change.

As I've said several times throughout this blog, I don't like living with regrets so I honestly can't think of anything that I wish I could change this very minute. Can you?

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 22

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 22: Post a picture of something you wish you were better at.

I wish with all my heart that I was better at math and just using numbers in general but instead I fear all of that and will usually do whatever it takes to get out of working with them. I love calculators though! : )

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 21

31 Day Photo Challenge- Day 21: Post a picture of something you wish you could forget.

This is really difficult. I honestly don't want to forget anything that's happened to me. I'd like to think that it's all happened for a reason and that I'm a better person because of it all.

Of course there are days when I wish I could forget that my parents are gone and that they'll never be at the future important events in my life but then again, I don't want to forget that they are gone either. I always want to remember that they were here and they will always be my parents. Perhaps, it would be nice to be able to forget the night I found out. I wish I could forget what I was wearing and where my bed was in the room and what I thought when I saw that it an international number pop up on my cell phone. I wish I could erase the memory of telling my sister the awful news. Why can't I forget all that? Yet, I don't want to ever forget how my friends were there for me that night and for many nights to come after that one.

Is there anything you wish you could forget?

31 Day Photo Challenge-Day 19

31 Day Blogging Challenge- Day 19: Post a picture and a letter.

One of my dear friends back in Phoenix is Patrick or what his friends call him, Noche. These are a few of the best pictures that we've taken together over the last years. He is by far my best guy friend and I'm really sad that we no longer live in the same city. Thankfully, he has been great at the long-distance thing, even better than some of my girlfriends actually!

In October around the three year anniversary of my parents deaths, he sent me the following letter and I was so touched by it that I've been wanting to share it on my blog but didn't know how to. It is a beautiful letter and I can't imagine my life without this gentleman.

Dear Leah,

It has been 3 years since your parents departed from this world and I think they would be very proud of the woman you have become. You are smart, funny, independent, strong and most importantly loving. There is not a doubt in my mind that your parents absolutely love the person you have become. I am sorry that I never got to meet your Mom and Dad but from what I hear, they were wonderful people. I believe that you dealt with their passing with such strength and endurance. It was an unbelievable thing to be able to handle and you did it with great maturity. Continue to go through this life with all of the tools you have been using and I promise you will make your parents even prouder. You are a great human being and I love you with all of my heart.
