What a crazy busy month it has been! It seriously went by in a flash! Please tell me everyone felt like this too.
So, the challenge is to find something to smile about every single day of the month. Thanks to Kristi for keeping this going at Live and Love...out Loud.
Here are my smiles for October:
1st- Getting up before 9AM for an intense spinning class on a Saturday! Whew!
2nd- I spent a lovely late morning brunching with two old college girlfriends that I always seem to lose touch with in this intense city.
3rd- Sweet texts got me through AWFUL traffic.
4th- The start of something exciting....
5th- A reunion with a BFF who is officially moving to LA this week!!
6th- Nothing puts a smile on my face quite like a big glass of red wine after a long work-day. Oh, that a lovely dinner full of interesting conversation with wonderful people.
7th- I got to see the 90210 beach house!!
8th- Musical Theater always makes me happy.9th- A friend's motivational words.
10th- Being super productive on a Monday!
11th- Volunteered my time at a girls homeless shelter for a photo shoot with them all.
12th- Professionally and socially, a really great day all around.
13th- I received good news.
14th- One on one time with my nephew at a zoo!
15th- Today I was grateful for the comforting and loving words from family and friends.
16th- I discovered the awesomeness that are Tom shoes! They really are so comfortable!
17th- An awesome intense work out after work!
18th- A promising business meeting!
19th- Having absolutely nothing to do after work but watch TV with the roommates.
20th- Watching a UofA football game with other alumni plus drinking a few beers makes for a perfect night.
21st- Two jobs in one day! Woo, look out!
22nd- I had a fabulous night spent at an awesome dance concert and then ended the night with a new friend.
23rd-A precious afternoon spent with a 6 month old and his mom.
24th- Blissful traffic to work and home from work.
25th- Catch-up dinner with an old friend.
26th- The boy I nanny gave me the biggest kiss and said he really liked me.
27th- I caught up with several old friends on the phone today.
28th- Super productive night, I was crafty with my Halloween costume, I baked cookies, I did my laundry and I finished reading a book.
29th- Trapeze flying was AMAZING!! And then being a gumball machine for the night was a lot of fun!
30th- There was a lot to smile about today.
31st- Got out of work early for a spooky show on Halloween night.
I guess with the end of August means that we should welcome Fall and say goodbye to Summer. : (
However, I can't say that I'm unhappy to move into a new season. For the first time in awhile I'm looking forward to breaking out the sweaters, jackets and all my fun scarves. And who could forget about those fabulous UGG boots I got from Oprah?!

1st- Drinks with a new friend!
2nd- I got about 4 inches cut off my hair and it was exactly what I needed! Change can be so healthy!
3rd- A promising music interview followed by a delicious dinner with old and always lovely friends.
4th- I picked up my nephew from his second day of school and hearing him talk all about his day was about the cutest thing ever!
5th- Had an amazing early breakfast before work. I had a banana nut pancakes! Soooo good!!
6th- I love random nights out where silly random things happen.
7th- I drove to Coronado to visit an old friend who was in town for a few days. Such fun!
8th- Nothing makes me like I really worked out quite like me new workout obsession, spinning classes.
9th- One of my best guy friends is in town for the day.
10th- Nothing like a little time at the beach to calm a busy mind.
11th- A sweet afternoon spent with my nephew.
12th- There really are 24 usuable hours everyday!
13th- A fun night out dancing celebrating a friend's birthday.
14th- Mad Men marathon! Need I say more?
15th- First day at my new music job! Woo hoo!
16th- A welcomed distraction happened.
17th- Got up for a 6AM spinning class- I ROCK!
18th- Long work day = money! : )
19th- A painless drive to Vegas to meet up with my BFF from high school and two other friends.
20th- Nothing makes me happier than yummy drinks by a pool with new and old friends.
21st- Despite an awful drive back to LA, I enjoyed catching up with lots of friends.
22nd- A smile from a stranger really can brighten my day.
23rd- A long productive day from beginning to end!
24th- Here's to learning about a new fun bar that the awesome Drew Barrymore frequents. : ) I'm a dork, I know!
25th- Sometimes having absolutely nothing to do at night is the best thing ever!
26th- I went on an awesome morning run.
27th- Organized and cleaned my room and closet!
28th- Swings. : )
29th- Delicious peanut butter pretzels at work.
30th- Crossing off lots of things on my to-do list!
31st- A day full of laughing. : )
How is it already August today? Where. Has The. Summer. Gone?! This month more than ever I've had to really understand that I shouldn't take for granted the little things that make me happy each and every day.

Here are my smiles for July:
1st- A night to do whatever I wanted.
2nd- For a Saturday it was a very productive day and night.
3rd- Such a busy happy day. I was touched by so much today. : )
4th- Nothing like a great outdoor run to get the 4th of July started. Of course fireworks always make me smile too.
5th- My black staple interview pants were too big!
6th- I took my nephew to a Tumbler class alone and we had so much fun together.
7th- There's nothing like an old fashioned phone conversation that lasts forever and leaves you smiling long after you've said goodbye.
8th- I saw a band that I love live and then I got to meet them after!!
9th- I bought some awesome CHEAP dresses for my upcoming trips later in the month.
10th- Spent a sweet afternoon in LA with my sister and nephew.
11th- I had my first official business calls for my new photo shoot business!
12th- Thank goodness I have a flexible job schedule that I was able to stay home in bed all day because I. WAS. SICK!!
13th- Again, terribly sick, but thanks to my roommate Gina, I went to the doctor and got on antibiotics. Sweet, sweet antibiotics!
14th- All I had to smile about today was because I had The Tudors streaming on my Netflix Instant Queue on my laptop so I watched that all day in bed.
15th- Happy that I was feeling better and still got to go to NY to visit a few dear friends from college!!
16th- Smiling all day because I got to be with my very best friend Tracy!
17th- Beer and bowling with new and old wonderful friends in Brooklyn!
18th- Talk about a reunion day- I got to see three VERY old friends from high school and elementary school in Connecticut and New York!
19th- I had the energy to arrive home from NY and go to the gym!
20th- Long work day with two new fun kids.
21st- A business call that left me more excited for the future then ever.
22nd- An easy and fast drive to Phoenix and reconnecting with all my fabulous Phoenix girlfriends.
23rd- A HUGE party bus picked us up for an awesome Bachelorette party.
24th- I got to spend time with so many people I care about and even a new little baby. : )
25th- Back home and back to work right away!
26th- Outdoor yoga always puts me in a good mood.
27th- 2nd day of my Master Cleanse and I feel amazing. More on this experience in a future post.
28th- A terrible day. I'm grateful to one of my best friends Gina for getting me through it. I am blessed to have her in my life.
29th- I'm thankful for a 2 year old's warm hugs at just the right moment.
30th- There's nothing like an all day distraction to keep your mind off sad things.
31st- A lovely busy day with people I care about.
How is it already JULY?! Geesh!! I was just getting the hang of June!

22nd- Heard exactly what I needed to hear at exactly the right time.
23rd- 3 solid and productive hours spent working at a coffee shop followed by a great workout!
24th- Reconnecting with old friends.
25th- Sleeping in late rocks!
26th- Celebrated my sister's birthday on a Duffy boat!
27th- Quick and easy workday.
28th- A productive day shooting my roommate's pin-up calendar.
29th- Sleeping with the windows open at night.
30th- I met a friend's 6 week old baby and I met my BF's mom! : )

11th- I was whistled at on the street in my work out clothes!
12th- Morning yoga, an awesome interview and seeing a friend's band play down the street from where I live.
13th- An easy and fun nannying day.
14th- A ridiculously long run on the treadmill! Whew!
15th- A fun night out to the movies and dinner with new and old friends.
16th- A first date.
17th- 1 blissful hour at a park with nephew.
18th- Having time to go to the gym and run outside! Whoa!
19th- Hearing Tina Fey and Steve Martin chat will make anyone smile.
20th- Snuggling in bed with my nephew and hearing him say "I love you" as I said good night.
21th- Wine and simple girl chat.
22nd- Going to a Prince concert! Need I say more?
23rd- For once, a super productive Saturday.
24th- A long talk.

27th- Getting soaked by my nephew when I gave him a bath and not really caring at all.

1st- Back at Bikram Yoga after 4 missed days and it felt amazing!
2nd- I had a dentist appointment to check the progress of my Invisalign and I am right on track to be finished by the middle of next month!!
3rd- An easy drive to Las Vegas!
4th- An amazing night out with new and old friends for a friends Bachelorette Party!
5th- Several hours spent at our hotel pool! Aww, pure bliss!
6th- Another painless drive back home to LA from Vegas.
7th- My 27th Birthday! What's not to be happy about today?!
8th- A sweet trip to Babies R Us for two baby shower gifts.
9th- Finally mailing several Thank-You cards out! I have so much to be thankful for in life.
10- There's nothing better than a nice long run!
11- Went to a Bikram Yoga class with a friend!
12- A busy but very filling day of physical activity and work.
13- Another busy day filled with so much love. My family visited me in LA and took me out for my birthday dinner.
14- This was a fun/productive/busy day ending with nannying for a super sweet little boy.
15- A fabulous night out to a glitzy fashion show in downtown LA
16- I enjoyed a nice long walk around my cute neighborhood.
17- A fun afternoon alone with my nephew sans any green beer!
18- Yet another fun afternoon alone with my nephew.
19- I met some new running friends at a yummy Carbo-load dinner.
20- I ran and finished the LA MARATHON!!
21- Very sore but I'm happy I have no blisters and I can stay home all day to recover from the run.
22- A painless and inexpensive trip to the car dealership to get the oil changed in my car. I also started the vegetarian diet which I'm excited about.
23- Got a new iPod!
24- An hour long massage in the afternoon!!! Aaaahhh!!!
25- Helped out a friend in need.
26- Long fun Saturday filled with an intense basketball game, good friends, beer and this city.
27- Happy to not be hungover! ;)
28- Celebrated a friends birthday at a new restaurant.
29- Two big signs today..

31- My roommate Gina's 2nd amazing Pin-Ups For Vets fundraising event. I enjoy any excuse to dress up and put a flower in my hair.
I finally decided to join Project Smile this month. I learned about it through my sister's blog and she discovered it through Alicia's blog at A Beautiful Mess. The challenge is to find something to smile about every single day of the month. I did exactly that for the month of February!
Here we happily go:
1st- Sharing a big glass of red wine with my roommate after a long day of nannying.
2nd- My sister and Lucas come to LA to visit me! I am smiles all day long!
3rd- An interesting and thoughtful conversation between four intelligent women, myself included.4th- I got so much accomplished today!
5th- Pre-Marathon jitters are the best 6th- I rocked my 2nd Half-Marathon ever! I'm super excited now for my Full Marathon next month!
7th- Being able to sit in front of the TV with my lap top for hours and actually get a lot done!
8th- A bajillion things at the 99cent store for $10 bucks!
9th- A nice long hike on a beautiful sunny LA day.
10th- I found 6 music job openings and applied for them all in under an hour.
11th- Morning yoga outside! Need I say more?
12- I ran 20 miles and didn't die afterwards!
13- Several hours of fun at the beach with my roommates and friends.
14- A sweet night with new and old friends celebrating desserts and Valentines Day and not being depressed at all that we are single! : )
15- An intense workout at the gym that left me drenched with sweat and completely out of breath.
16- A sweet visit with my sister and nephew in Orange County.
17- I went to a thoughtful and interesting lecture on sex in downtown Los Angeles with new and old LA friends.
18- Today I'm happy that I allowed myself to cry tears of sadness. It had been awhile and I obviously needed it.
19- A totally rad 80's Prom Birthday Party in Newport Beach.
20- A very lazy day spent watching several movies in bed
21- I applied to 6 amazing jobs! Wish me luck!
22- I did Bikram Yoga again today for the first time in about a year and it felt amazing!
23- I got an awesome job interview lined up for Monday!
24- Not only did I take a Bikram Yoga class but I also ran 3 miles! Damn, this feels good!
25- I got my hair trimmed and colored black!! And my BFF from high school arrived to visit me for a few days! : ) I couldn't be happier today!
26- My sister, nephew and best friend and I spent the afternoon together! How perfect is that?!
27- Having a margarita with my BFF in Santa Monica by the ocean celebrating her birthday!
28- So many things to smile about today: A leisure hike and brunch with Emily followed by my awesome interview and a relaxing night together too.
