Yesterday I received my first ever blog award from my sister, Tonya. I have mentioned her blog a lot throughout mine but if you haven't gotten the chance, I highly recommend checking it out, Letters For Lucas. It is such a sweet honest look at the life of a new mother and all the ups and downs that go right along with it. It's such a neat extra way for me to get daily updates on my nephew Lucas.
In order to accept this award, I have a few things to do:
-Share seven things about myself with you.
1. I absolutely love to sing! I love to sing in the shower, in the car, while I cook, while I wash dishes, while I surf the web.. pretty much any ole time!
2. This may sound strange but I'm excited for a regular 9 to 5 full time job. For the past two and a half years, I've worked on my own flexible schedule from home. While this may sound amazing and all, it still lacks the social interaction that you gain from being in an actual office.
3. If I had to choose between being better looking, smarter or more athletic, I would choose to be smarter. I think in the long run, more doors will open to a smarter person. Plus, you can always work on those other things. Sure, you can read and study but if you ain't got it, you ain't got it. Yep, I would love to be smarter and have one of those photographic memories.

4. If I could pick up everything and just move to another country today I would. No doubt about it. I am far from being done exploring this world. In fact, if it wasn't for my sister and her family and my close friends, I would be outta here! I'd really love to get lost in some European city.
5. I am seriously loyal to my friends. Seriously. Don't mess with 'em!
6. I hate math. Actually, I don't really care for numbers in general. Math was always my worst subject in school and no matter what, I was consistently struggling with it. I just couldn't get long division. I am much better with words and will usually do whatever it takes to get out of solving a math problem. Hello calculator!
7. I absolutely adore my nephew Lucas. I really don't think I've ever loved anyone like this before.
-Thank the person who gave you this award.
Thank you Tonya for my first ever blogging award. I really appreciate it and will continue to do my best to live up to it.
-Pass the award on to three fellow deserving bloggers:
Tracy- Tracy posts on her blog very sporadically but when she does you can be sure that it's going by very clever and honest words about her life. I wish that she would update more often, but alas, she is a busy New York city girl. Check out her blog at http://chickrose.blogspot.com/.
Leslie- You gotta love Leslie's blog because it's all about food! I definitely consider her a semi-professional restaurant goer in New York City. She earned a journalism degree from college so together with her vast knowledge of food, makes for a very yummy and interesting blog. If you ever need a recommendation, then you gotta turn to her at http://mynyplate.com/.
Alicia- Alicia and her husband Kyle are getting married in the fall and they've decided to have a 'Charity Wedding'. Alicia's blog is probably the sweetest thing I've ever seen because it's all about her search for the ultimate green wedding. In her blog, she explorers how to give back in every area of the wedding; from the flowers to the cake. They are always looking for people to contribute to their big day so please check out her blog, http://lovesgift.wordpress.com/?blogsub=confirming#subscribe-blog. If I was giving out a blog award to one that really makes you want to go out and do something amazing for the environment and/or community, Alicia's blog would win!
Well, that's it! Whew! Enjoy these three blogs and continue to tune in for my daily ramblings on here!
Thank you Leah for the kind words! I appreciate your support! Thank you for spreading the word!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome and great choices on paying it forward. I wish Tracy kept up with her blog more too. She's a good writer and very witty.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
