Christmas Decorations Already?!

So, about a week BEFORE Halloween, I saw this on a lamp post near my gym - a Christmas tree decoration! WTH! I cannot handle it! This is nothing compared to the grocery stores, Targets, drug stores and every other store out there. It's like they are all in some big hurry to speed up time and get on with the next thing. Why on earth do these places put our their holiday stuff earlier and earlier every year?! I don't get it. It really annoys me. I certainly do not think that far ahead and I simply get ready for things one week ahead of time. I understand that that's just the way it is with retail for the most part, but come on, give us consumers some time to catch up to the next holiday. Seriously?! Honestly, if it was up to me, there wouldn't be decorations for a particular holiday until the week or so before the holiday.

Is anyone else bothered by this? Do you agree with me? Did you feel like the Christmas decorations were out earlier this year?

  1. Totally agree! What's the rush? We're losing sight of the meanings of these holidays. :(

  2. I don't get it. My neighbors put up their Christmas lights, blow up lawn ornament thingys, and tree the day after Halloween. It irked me so much that I put a picture on my blog haha! I especially don't get how people get in the Christmas spirit early here in CA where temps are still in the 70's and 80's!

  3. I hate it, but it seems to start earlier every year. There's no escape.

  4. I'm feeling the exact same way! I went into a chocolate shop the other day and they had one tiny corner of Thanksgiving themed chocolates and tables and tables full of Christmas chocolates. I LOVE Thanksgiving so this is not remotely ok with me! haha

  5. today i drove by a shopping center that backs up to the freeway, it's a very pretty area and today they were lit up with all their christmas decorations. I was actually shocked to see the big fake lit up christmas tree on one of the roofs.

  6. Agreed! It's like the all-year-round-Christmas store. Just.Totally.Unnecessary. I was driving home the other day and saw a huge, lit up christmas tree on the side of the road outside a store. It was ugly. Made me a bit mad.
